The Forward

Hello! Ahoj! Greetings!

Life here in Czech Republic is so relaxing. At night time it is coffee and tea with pieces of dark chocolate sitting on old sofas before the change in Czech. The buildings are all colors! Green, yellow, blue, red, ect. And they are all concrete! It is common. The trees are so different too. There are willow trees and fruit trees gallor! The food is overwhelming consisting of bread and bread and hmm a little MORE BREAD! Uhg. Haha. But everyone walks... everywhere. No such thing as cars to school. Haha. The weather is really nice and everyone is so friendly. At school everyone stands up until the teacher sits down. I have hardcore flute lessons with a teacher who can't speak english. Very hard. Haha. And I also have really hardcore french lessons. They are both private. My french teacher speaks british english, so it's quite funny. The beer here is good... but not really for me... YET. Haha. I am a wine person. :) The natural surroundings are gorgeous!!! It's so beautiful here. It makes our Baraboo bluffs look like... little tiny hills. The language is very difficult. But I am already learning more than I would have in the first year of French lessons. You can forward this to Madame Kim :) Haha. The pastries here are very good and delicous. Don't worry... with all this biking and walking and running I won't gain too much weight. Everything here is so cheap too and the money is great. The american dollar is actually really good here! Imagine that? Everyone asks me about Obama and I was never big into politics so I just nod and say he's cool. And all my classmates look like barbies. I don't understand it either. So at 10:00 we have a 20 minutes snack break and even after the snack break everyone eats bread and sandwiches and they are still stick thin. Generations of bread eating I can tell. :) The perfume here is very nice too! And the walking paths are pretty much all cobblestone. My host family is so nice and so loving. They remind me so much about my family :) I miss you guys alot. But it's not long at all that I'm here. I am looking forward to their very... interesting holidays... I will tell more in my blog or in a forwarding e-mail. Should be good :) I went to Slovakia last weekend to Strečno and it was sooooo cool! We went to a like 500 year old castle sitting on a low tatra mountain. It was amazing. And we went on these rafting logs and funny guys in hats wearing fluffy pants rowed us. I met a kid from Milwaukee... so it's nice to talk to him about how much we miss Wisconsin but how much more amazing it is here. I really wish everyone could do this. You appreciate culture and everything to the fullest. I go to pubs at night alot... it's very relaxing sitting outside and hearing the talking of Czech and drinking a nice black Plisen. Yum... Remember black beer is for girls :) And my host sister is with me so no worries there. Tonight we are having a barbeque. They do that for birthdays... every birthday and sometime they have cake. The men here smell terrible of body odor... but the boys smell of good cologne. So yea... don't come here to meet a man when your old. I am really happy here and I hope to share more with you later, but for now I've only been here 2 weeks... so not much else to say!

Cau Cau (Bye Bye)
